If you take the old road from Hvar you will reach Brusje after some 6 km. Founded as a shepherd settlement in the 16th c. it still shows the rustical stone houses connected in picturesque architectural complex. On the road to the village you will first meet the ruins of the two 16th c. villas. The village itself is very much known after its production of lavender and rosemary eteric oils. Not only the ambience of such a picturesque place but the scents and the fresh air together with the view at the nearby islands will make your stay rather impressive.
